KidzKare, a 501(c)3 non-profit benifitting the children of the greater Rochester, MI area

Our mission is to create, provide, and support programs that improve the physical, emotional, social, and educational well-being of children and youth in the greater Rochester area.

Recycled Reader is our program that collects gently used books such that every child that leaves a local pediatric office can have a free book.

Back to School Bonanza gives us the opportunity to help local kids be ready for school.  Health physicals and screenings assure their physical health while clothing items from Assistance League of Southeast Michigan and school supplies from Rochester Area Neighborhood House take care of the rest.  Secrets Salon and Spa offers free haircuts.  This is truly a community wide business and non-profit collaboration.  We thank our Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce for their support and connections to make this event possible.

Raising Rochester is a raised bed, square food gardening program that provides fresh produce to our local food pantries.  With over 140 4 x 8 foot beds located all over town at businesses, organizations, schools and homes, 70% of the produce goes to the pantries, 15% for sale at the Rochester DDA Farmer's Market to fund KidzKare and 15% back to the volunteers who care for the beds.  Click the Raising Rochester link above if you would like to fund and host a bed!.
